Boot Socks From a Sweater

Make Boot Socks From A Sleeve
No Sewing Required

Recycle sleeves on an old sweater into boot socks by cutting off  the bottom half of each sleeve.

1.   Cut at least 12” inches off the sleeve.
2.   Trim the top cut edge as straight as possible and then pull the yarn from the edges to further make the edge straight. The edge should be loopy. You could also sew the cut edge with a zig zag stitch instead, but I think the loop edge looks nicer and no sewing required.

Should it be necessary to launder the socks this can be done by hand to keep the edges in tact or fray check available in fabric stores can also be used on the cut end.

These boot socks can be worn over a boot or tucked inside a boot.

The loop edge or the sleeve cuff can worn on the outside.
